Jean Fenton studied casting and metalwork at Loughborough College of Art.
She worked with Manchester sculptor and M.A.F.A member Keith Hamlett, gaining experience in mould making and casting while experimenting with different materials including clay, bronze, bronze resin and ciment fondue.
Jean's work is based on the figurative developed into the simplistic and near abstract form. She has exhibited in many mixed exhibitions, and In 2012 was invited to participate in the Sculpture Bienniale in Touron-sur Rhone, France, and returned in 2013 as a tutor on the sculpture course. She is a long standing member of The Manchester Academy of Fine Art.
